How to Paint Sugar Cookies
Painting sugar cookies before baking is an easy way to give your treats a colorful and glazed appearance. A few drops of food coloring and egg yolk is all it takes to make an edible paint that easily spreads onto cookie dough for a beautiful and delicious decoration. Using store bought, ready-to-bake cookie dough makes this a fun and affordable baking activity perfect for kids.
Things You'll Need
- Ready-to-bake sugar cookie dough
- Egg yolk
- 1/4 teaspoon of water
- Small bowls
- Food coloring
- Pastry brush or small paint brushes
- Fork or small whisk
Instructions
-
Prepare cookie dough according to package directions on a cookie sheet.
