How to Flavor Hard Candy
Making hard candy, such as suckers or hard-tack candy, is a fun activity that can be done at home. There are a wide variety of essential candy oils, or flavorings, which differ from flavoring extracts in that they are more potent and hold their flavor under intense heat, that can be used to make virtually any flavor or flavor-combination candies. Many stores carry candy oil flavorings in their baking aisle or at the pharmacy counter. The flavorings can also be ordered from various online suppliers (see Resources).
