How to Make the World's BEST Key Lime Cake (8 Steps)

Things You'll Need
- ½ cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 tsp. key lime zest (grated)
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. baking soda
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ½ cup key lime juice
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 2 bowls
- Whisk
- Spoon
- Sifter
- Bundt pan
Instructions

Mix the butter and sugar together so they are light and fluffy. Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Add the yolks to the butter and sugar mixture.

Stir in the key lime zest.

Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.

Alternate adding the dry ingredients with ½ cup of the key lime juice to the butter mixture and mix well.

Beat the egg whites so they are stiff. Fold into the cake batter.

Add the batter to the Bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the top of the cake and serve.
