Where was oregano first domesticated?
Oregano was first domesticated in the Mediterranean region thousands of years ago and has continued to grow wild all the way from Portugal down through North Africa the Arabian Peninsula across Southern Asia then down through parts of Southeast Asia. Greece is generally viewed as being its point of origin.
