Can you water bath pinto beans?

Pinto beans can safely be canned at home using a pressure canner, but they are not suitable for processing in a boiling water canner (also known as a hot water bath canner).

Here are two safe steps in the processing times for canning your beans depending on your location as follows:

For elevations at or below 1,000:

Process pints & quarts for 75 mintues

For elevations of 1,001 - 3,000 feet:

Process pints for 90 minute & quarts for 100
