Who invented Dr. Pepper?

Dr. Pepper was invented in 1885 by Charles Alderton in Waco, Texas. Alderton was a pharmacist who owned a drug store and began experimenting with different flavor combinations. One day, he created a drink that he thought was so delicious that he decided to sell it. He named the drink "Dr. Pepper" after a local doctor, Charles Pepper, who was known for his good taste and his use of spices. Alderton's Dr. Pepper was a hit, and he soon began bottling and selling it throughout the United States. The Dr. Pepper Bottling Company was incorporated in 1904, and the drink became one of the most popular soft drinks in the world.
