How to Make No-Salt Seasoning Mix (3 Steps)
Many people who learn they have to drop salt from their diet are faced with the dreaded prospect of bland meals forever. For those people, the food industry came up with alternative seasonings. These seasonings may not have the good old familiar taste of salt, but they do give everything from salads to meats some extra taste. A homemade mix like this one combines several ingredients, but don't use any of them without checking them first for sodium content.
Things You'll Need
- 1 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. thyme leaves
- 1 tbsp. onion powder
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 1/2 tbsp. celery seed
- 1 tbsp. white pepper
- 1 tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 tbsp. dried lemon peel
- 1 tbsp. ground black pepper
Instructions

Mix all of the ingredients together in a small glass mixing bowl.

Place the spice in shakers to replace the salt.

Store the spice mix in a container with a tight fitting lid.
