Where do tomatos grow?
Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum) are native to South America and were first domesticated by the indigenous peoples of the region. They were introduced to Europe in the 16th century and quickly spread throughout the world, becoming one of the most widely cultivated crops. Today, tomatoes are grown in many parts of the world, including tropical, subtropical, and temperate regions. They can be grown in a variety of soil types and climates, but they prefer well-drained, fertile soil and a warm, sunny environment. Tomatoes are commonly grown in gardens and fields, as well as in greenhouses and hydroponic systems.
