How Do I Prepare Roasted Almonds? (7 Steps)
While you can eat raw almonds as part of a healthy meal or snack, roasting gives almonds a broader depth of flavor that tastes even better when eaten warm out of the oven. You can eat the roasted almonds whole or serve them sliced or chopped over cereal, yogurt or granola, which adds important vitamins such as vitamin E, vitamin B2 and fiber that are vital to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Dry-roast the almonds or roast them with oil, which adds extra fat but increases the flavor.
Things You'll Need
- Rimmed baking sheet
- Almond or grapeseed oil (optional)
- Spatula
- Cooling rack
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325 to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Spread the almonds in a even, single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle the almonds with a bit of almond or grapeseed oil and toss until evenly coated, if desired.

Place the baking sheet on the center rack of the oven. Allow the almonds to roast in the oven for about 10 minutes.

Pull the baking sheet from the oven and turn the almonds over, using a spatula.

Place the baking sheet back into the oven after turning the almonds. Allow the almonds to roast in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Pull the baking sheet from the oven and place it on a cooling rack. Allow the almonds to cool completely.

Pour the almonds into a plastic storage container with an air-tight lid.
