Is a beaker the same ammount as cup?
A beaker and a cup are both used to hold liquids, but they are not the same amount. A beaker is typically a cylindrical glass container with a flat bottom, while a cup can come in various shapes and sizes. The volume of a beaker is usually measured in milliliters (mL), while the volume of a cup is usually measured in fluid ounces (oz).
One milliliter is equal to one cubic centimeter (cc), and there are approximately 29.57 milliliters in one fluid ounce. Therefore, a beaker that is 100 mL would hold approximately 3.38 fluid ounces. A cup that is 8 fluid ounces would hold approximately 236.6 mL.
So, while a beaker and a cup may be used for similar purposes, they are not the same amount. It is important to pay attention to the volume measurements of the containers you are using when measuring liquids.
