How to Use a Krups Rice Cooker
Rice cookers allow you to make rice without risk of burning and without the need to stir the pot -- or even to be near the rice while it is cooking. Rice cookers have been used in Japanese and Chinese kitchens for years, and have now exist in the United States market. Krups rice cookers can cook brown, white and jasmine rice without burning and come in both 5-cup and 10-cup capacities. Using the Krups Rice Cooker requires only basic ingredients and very little time.
Things You'll Need
- Paper towels
- Uncooked rice
- Measuring cup
- Plastic spoon
Instructions
-
Wipe the inside of the rice cooker bowl with a wet paper towel. Dry the inside with a dry paper towel.
-
Measure the rice. For 2 to 4 people, measure 2 cups of rice. Add additional cups to serve more people. Pour the rice into the rice cooker bowl.
-
Pour water into the rice bowl, measuring 1.5 cups of water to cups of rice. Stir the rice and water.
-
Press the "Mode" button once. Then press the "Start" button. It is not necessary to select a cooking time; the rice cooker will automatically cook the rice for the correct amount of time.
-
Open the lid when the timer beeps. Serve the rice with the plastic spoon that came with the rice cooker.
