How to Cook Cabbage Rolls in Fifteen Minutes In a Pressure Cooker
Cooking with a Pressure Cooker will save you time and energy.
Things You'll Need
- Cabbage Rolls
- 2 Cans Tomato sauce 15 oz
- 1 Can Diced Tomato and green chilies (optional)
- Non-stick cooking spray

So you've just came home and some dummy has forgotten to turn the slower cooker on and the cabbage rolls for dinner haven't even started yet. You only have 1/2 hour and everyone expects dinner, What to do, oh what to do. Never fear, just follow these simply directions and you'll have dinner done with time to spare.

If you don't know how to use a pressure cooker, you'll want to read my article on How to use a pressure cooker to cook everyday meals. Now take a 6qt pressure cooker and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Place cabbage in cooker.

Mix the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and one cup of water, in a sauce pan on top of the stove and start to warm. Place 2 cups of this liquid over the cabbage rolls in the pressure cooker. Does not have to be warm. Can add more to cooker if you have lots cabbage rolls.

Place top on pressure cooker and turn heat on high. Once you feel hot air coming from valve place regulator on valve. Once regulator starts to vent steam and jiggle start your timing. Turn heat down one notch at a time until regulator jiggles about three times a minute. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove cooker from heat and let cool. You can also run cold water over cooker if you're in a real hurry. Remove lid, pour the remainder of tomato sauce and diced tomatoes on top of the cabbage rolls and simmer on top of stove for a couple of minutes. There now, you've saved dinner and deserve a big kiss from hubby or your wife which ever the case and lots of big hugs from the kiddies.
