How to Store Homemade Pizza Dough Overnight
Pizza is among America's favorite foods, and it is truly simple to make. It consists of dough, cheese and sauce. Who could mess that up? But as any former New Yorker banished to the hinterlands has discovered, good pizza can be hard to find in some places. Buy premade dough and store it in the fridge so you have it ready to use. Most pizza dough will keep for about 3 days in a refrigerator.
Things You'll Need
- Flour
- Pizza dough
- Bowl or tray
- Parchment paper
- Olive oil
- Pastry brush
Instructions
-
Separate dough into serving-sized balls. Each ball should be enough to make one pizza. The size will differ according to the number of pizzas you will make.
-
Spread flour on a work surface. Coat each ball in the flour.
-
Line the bowl or tray with parchment paper. Place dough balls on the parchment. Brush each ball with olive oil. Cover the tray with plastic wrap. On the day you will use the dough, let it rest at room temperature for 2 hours before using it.
