How to Cook a Hot Pocket in the Oven (5 Steps)

Known for their microwavable convenience, Hot Pockets can also be heated in the oven. With their crispy outer shell, Hot Pockets are reminiscent of pot pies, but with a more substantial crust designed to be held in the hand like a sandwich. Hot Pockets, Lean Pockets and Breakfast Hot Pockets can all be heated in a conventional oven. Heating them in the oven gives them a crisp, golden exterior.

Things You'll Need

  • Baking pan
  • Instant-read thermometer
  • Aluminum foil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Remove and discard the plastic wrapper and set the cardboard crisper aside. Put the Hot Pocket on the baking pan.

  3. Bake the Hot Pocket for 28 minutes.

  4. Insert an instant read thermometer into the center of the Hot Pocket and check that the temperature is at least 165 F. Remove the Hot Pocket from the oven if it is hot enough, or return it for 3 more minutes and check again if it is not.
