How to Cook Frozen Sliders to Perfection (5 Steps)
They’re called “sliders” because those glorious little burgers with super soft buns and tiny pieces of onion can slide right past your teeth and practically melt in your mouth. In a fresh state, sliders take time to prepare because the patties are steam-cooked over a moist layer of onions. It makes sense, then, that if you want frozen sliders to reach the same level of perfection, you cannot simply “nuke” them as if they were mere fast food. As tiny culinary masterpieces, they require the same level of attention as the originals.
Things You'll Need
- Paper towels
- Cheese (optional)
- Boiling water
- Two-piece broiler pan (base and slotted top piece)
- Aluminum foil
- Tongs
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the frozen sliders from the packaging and set them on paper towels. Slide a small piece of American cheese under each bun, if you wish, to make cheeseburgers.
-
Pour boiling water inside the broiler pan. Insert the slotted top piece and place the sliders on top.
-
Cover the entire broiler pan with aluminum foil, using two pieces if necessary. Heat the sliders for 10 minutes in the oven.
-
Open the oven and turn up one edge of the foil with tongs, being careful because the steam will be hot. Flip the sliders over so that they can cook evenly on both sides. Return the foil to its original position.
-
Cook the sliders for another 10 minutes. Set the broiler pan on your oven for about three or four minutes before devouring.
