Why did paula deen start cooking?
Paula Deen started cooking because of her grandmother. She grew up in Albany, Georgia, and her grandmother was a sharecropper. Deen's grandmother would cook for the whole family, and Deen would help her in the kitchen. She learned how to cook by watching her grandmother and helping her out. Deen said that her grandmother was her biggest inspiration in cooking.
