Can you deep fry hot dogs?
You sure can deep fry a hot dog. There are a couple of different ways to do it, but this is my favorite:
Ingredients:
- Hot dogs
- All-purpose flour
- Cornstarch
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Vegetable oil
Instructions:
1.) First, heat your vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.) While the oil is heating, prepare your batter. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
3.) Add the hot dogs to the batter. Turn gently with tongs to coat the dogs with the batter.
4.) Carefully drop the hot dogs into the hot oil. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the batter is golden brown.
5.) Let the hot dogs cool off for a minute or two before eating them.
Serve with ketchup mustard or relish.
