How do you cook a lobester?
To cook a lobster, follow these steps:
1. Gather your ingredients and equipment. You will need:
* 1 live lobster, about 1 pound
* 1 large pot
* Cold water
* 1 tablespoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 lemon, cut into wedges
* Cooking twine
* A slotted spoon
* A colander
* Paper towels
2. Prepare the lobster.
* Rinse the lobster under cold water.
* Use kitchen shears to cut off the rubber bands from the lobster's claws.
* Use a sharp knife to cut a thin slit down the center of the lobster's belly. Be careful not to cut too deeply, as this could damage the lobster meat.
* Pull out the lobster's stomach and discard it.
* Rinse the lobster again under cold water.
3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the salt and baking soda.
4. Drop the lobster into the boiling water. The lobster will sink to the bottom of the pot.
5. Cook the lobster for 10 minutes. If the lobster is larger than 1 pound, cook it for an additional 2-3 minutes.
6. Remove the lobster from the pot and place it on a colander to drain.
7. Let the lobster cool for a few minutes.
8. Crack the lobster's claws and remove the meat. Use a lobster cracker or a pair of kitchen shears to crack the claws. Remove the meat from the claws and set it aside.
9. Split the lobster's tail and remove the meat. Use a sharp knife to split the tail in half. Remove the meat from the tail and set it aside.
10. Serve the lobster with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
