How do you cook java rice?

To cook Java rice, you will need the following:

- 1 cup (200g) of Java rice

- 1 1/2 cups of water

- A pinch of salt

- A tablespoon of coconut oil (optional)

Instructions:

1. Rinse the rice thoroughly in a fine-mesh sieve under cold running water until the water runs clear.

2. In a medium saucepan, bring the water, coconut oil (if using), and salt to a boil.

3. Once the water boils, add the rinsed rice and stir well.

4. Cover the saucepan with a tight-fitting lid and reduce heat to low.

5. Simmer the rice for about 15-20 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed.

6. Turn off the heat and let the rice stand for 5 minutes, with the lid still on, before fluffing with a fork and serving.
