How do you clean a burnt area on the inside and bottom of stainless steel pan?
Materials needed:
* Baking soda
* Vinegar
* Water
* Scrubbing brush
* Dishwashing liquid
* Sponge
Instructions:
1. Create a paste. Mix baking soda and water to create a paste. The paste should be thick enough to stick to the burnt area.
2. Apply the paste. Spread the paste onto the burnt area. Cover the entire area, making sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.
3. Let it sit. Allow the paste to sit for at least 30 minutes. This will give the baking soda time to work its magic and break down the burnt food.
4. Scrub the pan. After 30 minutes, use a scrubbing brush to scrub the burnt area. Apply firm pressure, but be careful not to damage the stainless steel.
5. Rinse the pan. Rinse the pan with warm water to remove the baking soda paste.
6. Add vinegar and water. Pour equal parts vinegar and water into the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
7. Let it sit. Allow the vinegar and water mixture to simmer for 5-10 minutes. This will help to dissolve any remaining burnt food.
8. Rinse the pan again. Rinse the pan with warm water to remove the vinegar and water mixture.
9. Wash the pan with dishwashing liquid. Use a sponge and dishwashing liquid to wash the pan as you normally would.
10. Rinse the pan one final time. Rinse the pan with warm water to remove any residual soap.
11. Dry the pan. Dry the pan with a clean towel.
The burnt area on the inside and bottom of your stainless steel pan should now be clean.
Here are some additional tips for cleaning burnt stainless steel pans:
- Avoid using harsh abrasives, such as steel wool or scouring pads. These can damage the stainless steel surface.
- If the burnt area is particularly stubborn, you may need to repeat the steps above.
- For best results, clean burnt stainless steel pans as soon as possible after they have been used.
