How to Cook Mechado Stew

Mechado is a beef dish that originated from the Philippines. The soy sauce gives this recipe its distinctive taste. This dish is similar to other Filipino dishes such as the Kaldereta and the Estofada. Sometimes it is common to thread pork strips through thick pieces of cheaper lean beef to render them more tender and less dry. However, you can just use beef chunks to create the mechado dish without threading the meat. You can create your very own simple mechado dish for you to enjoy.
