How to Freeze Yorkshire Pudding (5 Steps)

A British roast beef dinner isn't complete without Yorkshire pudding. While this delicious take on a dinner roll often goes quickly during a meal, you can make extra individual-sized servings, such as in a muffin tin or actual Yorkshire pudding pan, and freeze them for future use.

Things You'll Need

  • Baking rack (lined with paper towels)
  • Aluminum foil
  • Plastic freezer bags (gallon size)
  • Permanent marker

Instructions

  1. Remove the baked Yorkshire puddings from the pan and place them upside down on a baking rack until they cool to room temperature.

  2. Wrap each Yorkshire pudding individually in aluminum foil. Fold the aluminum foil tightly over the top of each pudding and fold the ends down and under the puddings to make a tight and secure wrap. Don't squash the puddings as you wrap them.

  3. Set the wrapped puddings in a single layer on a baking sheet and put them in the freezer for about one hour.

  4. Place as many wrapped Yorkshire puddings as you can easily fit into a resealable plastic freezer bag. Squeeze out the air and seal the bag.

  5. Write the contents and date on the outside of the plastic bag. Store the Yorkshire puddings in the freezer for up to 1 month.
