How to Freeze Yorkshire Pudding (5 Steps)
A British roast beef dinner isn't complete without Yorkshire pudding. While this delicious take on a dinner roll often goes quickly during a meal, you can make extra individual-sized servings, such as in a muffin tin or actual Yorkshire pudding pan, and freeze them for future use.
Things You'll Need
- Baking rack (lined with paper towels)
- Aluminum foil
- Plastic freezer bags (gallon size)
- Permanent marker
Instructions
-
Remove the baked Yorkshire puddings from the pan and place them upside down on a baking rack until they cool to room temperature.
-
Wrap each Yorkshire pudding individually in aluminum foil. Fold the aluminum foil tightly over the top of each pudding and fold the ends down and under the puddings to make a tight and secure wrap. Don't squash the puddings as you wrap them.
-
Set the wrapped puddings in a single layer on a baking sheet and put them in the freezer for about one hour.
-
Place as many wrapped Yorkshire puddings as you can easily fit into a resealable plastic freezer bag. Squeeze out the air and seal the bag.
-
Write the contents and date on the outside of the plastic bag. Store the Yorkshire puddings in the freezer for up to 1 month.
