How to Freeze Sourdough Starter
Sourdough starter is a fascinating culinary creature. As the yeast eats the sugars in the dough and the dough ferments, flavors are enlivened and deepened and the dough grows and rises. This creates a flavorful, aromatic and soft loaf of bread. Sourdough starter is also a reflection of the local climate and fauna culture. If you have created a sourdough starter, you won't want to let any go to waste. Instead of throwing any away or spending unending hours in the kitchen, baking loaves, freeze some or all of your starter until you are ready to bake more.
