How do you make whipped butter?
To make whipped butter, you will need:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- Optional add-ins: honey, vanilla extract, fresh herbs (such as basil or chives), spices (such as cinnamon or nutmeg), or citrus zest
Instructions:
1. Place the softened butter in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat the butter on medium speed for 2-3 minutes, or until light and fluffy.
2. Add the milk and salt, and mix on medium speed for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until combined.
3. Add any optional add-ins you desire and mix until just combined.
4. Scoop the whipped butter into a serving bowl or container and refrigerate until firm.
Whipped butter can be used as a spread, in baking, or as a topping for desserts and appetizers. Enjoy!
