How to Transport Mini Cupcakes (4 Steps)

Mini cupcakes are easier to transport than regular cupcakes because they fit in more common household storage containers. With mini cupcakes you can also make more flavors of cupcakes with the same amount of cake batter. To make an indulgent mini cupcake, fill the cupcake with icing or an accompanying flavor filling by placing a piping bag tip into the top of the cupcake and filling it before icing over the hole. Spraying the box in which you are transporting the cupcakes with vodka is an easy, food-safe method to sanitize the box.

Things You'll Need

  • Large shirt box or egg carton
  • Vodka
  • Spray bottle
  • Paper towels

Instructions

  1. Choose a shirt box or boxes that best fits all of your cupcakes if they were put side by side. If you have 12 or fewer cupcakes, or prefer to use egg cartons, use egg cartons instead of the shirt box.

  2. Pour a small amount of our vodka in the bottom of the spray bottle and screw the top on tightly.

  3. Spray a light mist on all interior surfaces of the shirt box or egg carton to kill any bacteria that the cupcakes may come in contact with.

  4. Gently place the mini cupcakes in the shirt box or carton. If you are using a shirt box allow the mini cupcakes to gently touch the sides so that they will not move around in the box. Use paper towels to fill any extra space in the box.
