How do you make baked flan?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Combine the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate.
4. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the flan is set.
5. Let the flan cool for a few minutes before serving.
6. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the flan and serve.
Tips:
- For a richer flan, use whole milk and heavy cream.
- For a smoother flan, strain the mixture before baking.
- To prevent the flan from browning too much, cover it with foil during baking.
- Let the flan cool completely before serving.
- Flan can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 3 days.
