How do you baste?
To baste, you'll need:
- A baster
- Liquid (broth, stock, marinade, water)
- A bowl
Instructions:
1. Fill the baster: Hold the baster vertically and slowly squeeze the bulb to draw the liquid through the tube. Continue squeezing until the bulb is about two-thirds full.
2. Baste the food: Hold the baster near the food surface, press to release 1 to 2 teaspoons of liquid over the food at a time. Continue basting throughout the cooking process for maximum flavor and moistness.
