Can you put a baking pan from oven straight to freezer?
It's not recommended to put a baking pan straight from the oven to the freezer. Here's why:
* Thermal Shock: The rapid temperature change from hot to cold can cause the pan to crack or break, especially if it's made of glass or ceramic.
* Uneven Cooling: The pan will cool unevenly, potentially causing the food inside to freeze unevenly as well.
* Safety Hazard: A hot pan placed in the freezer could damage the freezer or even pose a burn risk.
Instead, it's best to allow the pan to cool down to room temperature before placing it in the freezer. This will help prevent damage to the pan and ensure even cooling of the food.
