How to Pipe Filling Into Cupcakes (3 Steps)
There are few things that say home and hearth like homemade baked goods. Freshly made cupcakes are a comfort food, taking us back to the days when our grandmother provided these sorts of treats on a regular basis. If you want to make your own cupcakes, you may decide that you want to kick them up a notch. Instead of just having frosting on the top, you can also add some inside easily.
Things You'll Need
- Pastry bag with tip
Instructions
-
Remove your baked cupcakes from the oven and place them on a rack to cool completely. If you try to inject the filling before they cool, the cupcake is more likely to come apart.
-
Fill a pastry bag with a plastic tip with the frosting you want to use. Insert the tip into the top of the cupcake and squeeze a tablespoon or so of filling into the cupcake. If you inject too much, it may come out the sides.
-
Squeeze a little frosting onto the top of the cupcake, using a spatula to smooth it. This will cover up the hole you made when you injected the filling.
