How do you moisten dry banana nut muffins?
Ingredients:
- 2 - 3 Tablespoons of simple syrup (1:1 ratio sugar to hot water, stirred often until dissolved).
- 1 Tablespoon of cold water.
- Parchment paper
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
2. Place a piece of parchment paper on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan. Add one cup of water.
3. Place muffin tin with dry muffins on the rack just above the water. Cover the muffins with foil.
4. Bake the muffins for 10 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the muffins are heated through.
5. While the muffins are baking, make a simple syrup by combining equal parts sugar and hot water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second intervals until the sugar has completely dissolved, stirring often.
6. Remove the muffins from the oven and immediately brush the simple syrup over the tops of the muffins. Allow the muffins to cool completely before serving.
