Directions on How to Cook Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal

Oatmeal was used as food for animals for many years, but it became popular in America when the Quaker Oat Company opened in 1877 and started selling the rolled oat cereal. It is a comforting food to eat on a cold winter's morning. Before you reach for the instant oatmeal, take a few minutes and make a bowl of old-fashioned Quaker oatmeal. You will be surprised at how easy it is to cook and may never want to make instant again.
