If part of the insides an egg comes out shell while boiling does that mean was bad?
It's possible, but not necessarily. Here's why:
* The "white" is coming out: This could indicate the egg was overcooked, causing the albumin (egg white) to contract and push against the shell.
* The yolk is runny: If the yolk is still runny after boiling, this usually means the egg was undercooked. This might make the yolk look like it's coming out of the shell, but it's just the yolk being runny.
* The yolk is broken: This could be due to rough handling during boiling, or the egg could have been cracked before being cooked. A broken yolk doesn't automatically mean the egg is bad.
How to tell if an egg is actually bad:
* Smell: A bad egg will have a strong, unpleasant sulfurous smell.
* Appearance: The yolk of a bad egg will be discolored or have a greenish ring around it. The white might be watery or have a cloudy appearance.
In short, it's not always a sure sign of a bad egg if the insides come out of the shell during boiling. If the egg doesn't smell bad and the yolk isn't discolored, it's probably safe to eat. Just be careful when handling and avoid overcooking.
