If a girl betta is pregnant with eggs can the boy still help babies?
Betta fish reproduction is a relatively simple process. The female betta will lay her eggs in a bubble nest that the male betta has constructed. The male betta will then fertilize the eggs and guard them until they hatch. The male betta will also provide food for the fry until they are able to swim and feed on their own. Once the fry are free swimming, the male betta will no longer provide any care for them.
So, to answer your question, no, the male betta will not help with the babies once they have hatched.
