What happens when we put an egg into food coloring?
When you put an egg into a food coloring solution like vinegar, the vinegar will react with the calcium carbonate in the egg shell to form calcium acetate, releasing carbon dioxide bubbles that cause the shell to fizz.
The food coloring will gradually diffuse through the porous egg shell and color the egg. The longer the egg is left in the solution, the more deeply the color will penetrate the shell.
