If you need to sneeze or cough while in the food prep area, follow these steps:
1. Immediately step away from any exposed food, cooking surfaces, or equipment.
2. Turn your back to the food and cover your mouth and nose with a tissue.
3. Sneeze or cough into the tissue. If you don't have a tissue, use your upper arm to cover your mouth and nose.
4. Dispose the tissue in a covered waste bin immediately.
5. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
6. Return to the food prep area only after you have washed your hands and are sure that any droplets have been eliminated.
By following these steps, you can help to prevent the spread of bacteria and keep your food safe.
