How do you get the baby chick to start eat?

1. Offer food and water as soon as possible. Chicks need food and water within 24 hours of hatching.

2. Provide a variety of food options. Chicks need a variety of nutrients, so offer them a variety of foods, such as chick starter feed, crumbled hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and mealworms.

3. Place food and water in shallow containers. Chicks are small and have difficulty reaching food and water in deep containers.

4. Make sure the food and water are fresh. Chicks will not eat food or drink water that is old or spoiled.

5. Encourage the chicks to eat. If the chicks are not eating, try gently tapping the food or water containers to get their attention. You can also try holding the food or water in your hand and letting them peck at it.

6. Be patient. It may take a few days for the chicks to start eating and drinking. Just keep offering them food and water, and they will eventually learn to eat on their own.
