How would you separate sugar that has been mixed with wheat flour?
There a couple of methods to separate sugar from wheat flour.
Method 1: Using a sieve
1. Place the mixture in a sieve with fine holes.
2. Shake the sieve gently so that the flour passes through the holes, leaving the sugar behind.
3. Tap the sieve gently to remove any remaining flour particles.
4. Collect the sugar from the bottom of the sieve.
Method 2: Using water
1. Place the mixture in a bowl and add enough water to cover it completely.
2. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves.
3. Pour the mixture through a sieve, catching the liquid in a container.
4. Allow the liquid to settle, and the sugar will crystallize at the bottom.
5. Pour off the excess water and collect the crystallized sugar.
Method 3: Using a magnet
This method can be used to separate iron fillings from a mixture of sugar and flour.
1. Place a magnet near the mixture, or move it around underneath the container.
2. The iron fillings will be attracted to the magnet and can be easily removed.
3. The sugar and flour will remain unaffected and can be separated using one of the methods above.
