Can you make Irish soda wheaten bread with a machine?

Ingredients

* 3 cups all-purpose flour

* 1/4 cup sugar

* 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

* 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

* 1 cup buttermilk

* 1 egg

* 4 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions:

1. In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.

2. In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.

3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

4. Knead the dough gently for a few minutes until it comes together into a ball.

5. Place the dough in the bread machine and set it to the dough setting.

6. After the dough cycle is finished, remove the dough from the machine and shape it into a loaf.

7. Place the loaf in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.

8. Bake the bread in a preheated 375 degree oven for 30-35 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

9. Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving.
