Can refridgerated Amish bread starter be used later?
Amish bread starter can be refrigerated and used later. To do this, simply remove the starter from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for several hours. Then, feed the starter with equal parts flour and water, and let it sit at room temperature for 12-24 hours. The starter should then be ready to use.
Be sure to discard any starter that has been refrigerated for more than 2 weeks, as it may not be safe to use.
