What is the product that plant uses for food?

Plants don't eat food in the same way animals do. Instead, they make their own food through a process called photosynthesis. The product they use for food is glucose.

Here's how it works:

1. Sunlight: Plants capture energy from the sun using chlorophyll, a green pigment found in their leaves.

2. Carbon dioxide: They take in carbon dioxide from the air through tiny pores called stomata on their leaves.

3. Water: They absorb water from the soil through their roots.

4. Photosynthesis: Using the energy from sunlight, plants combine carbon dioxide and water to create glucose (a type of sugar) and oxygen. The oxygen is released back into the atmosphere.

This glucose is the plant's food. It provides energy for the plant to grow, repair itself, and perform other essential functions.
