Are avacodos a vegetable or fruit?
Avocados are technically fruits.
Here's why:
* Botanically: Fruits develop from the flower of a plant and contain seeds. Avocados fit this definition, as they grow from the avocado flower and have a large seed inside.
* Culinary use: While avocados are often used in savory dishes, their botanical classification doesn't change based on how we cook them.
* Nutritional content: Avocados are rich in fats, which is a characteristic of fruits.
So, even though we might use avocados in ways similar to vegetables, they are botanically classified as fruits.
