Is garlic annual or a perennial?
Garlic can be both an annual or biennial. When garlic is grown as an annual, it grows from seed, matures, and dies within a single growing season. When grown as a biennial, garlic will grow from a clove planted in the fall, form a plant that overwinters, and then produce a flower stalk and seeds the second year before dying.
