How far apart do you plant zucchini?
The recommended spacing for planting zucchini is 3 to 4 feet apart. This allows the plants to spread out and to produce plenty of fruit. If you plant them too close together, they will compete for water and nutrients, and will not produce as well. Also, make sure not to plant zucchini next to other members of the same botanical family (Cucurbitaceae) so to avoid cross-pollination. Cucumbers, melons, pumpkin and squash belong to the same family.
