How do you make Texas toast?
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of thick-sliced bread (such as Texas toast or sourdough)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
3. Spread the butter mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
4. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet, buttered-side up.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and toasted.
6. Serve immediately.
