What industries use gelatin?

The gelatin industry finds application in various sectors such as food, pharmaceutical, nutraceuticals, photography, cosmetics, and personal care. The edible gelatin is derived from collagen (a protein) obtained from animal sources such as cattle bones and hides or pigskin. On the other hand, non-edible gelatin can be derived from other collagen-rich sources like fish and vegetable sources such as seaweed and algae.
