What is the spiciest food?
The spiciest food in the world is a dish called the Dragon's Breath Chilli. It is a chilli pepper that has been bred to have an incredibly high concentration of capsaicin, the compound that gives chillies their spicy flavour. The Dragon's Breath Chilli has been measured to have a Scoville scale rating of over 2.48 million, which is more than twice as hot as the previous record holder, the Carolina Reaper. The Dragon's Breath Chilli was created by Ed Currie, owner of PuckerButt Pepper Company in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Currie said he was inspired to create the Dragon's Breath Chilli after hearing about the Ghost Pepper, which was then the world's hottest pepper. Currie wanted to create a pepper that was even hotter than the Ghost Pepper, and he succeeded in doing so with the Dragon's Breath Chilli.
