Is MILK the only thing in cheese?

Cheese is a dairy product made from milk that has been fermented by bacteria. The bacteria convert lactose, the natural sugar in milk, into lactic acid, causing the milk to curdle. The curds are then separated from the whey, heated, and pressed into molds. Different types of cheese are made by varying the type of milk, the bacteria used, the temperature, and the aging process.

In addition to milk, cheese may contain other ingredients, such as salt, rennet, herbs, spices, and nuts. Some cheeses are also made with cream, butter, or whey protein.
