How to Make Asian-Style Noodles With Peanut Sauce
A basic Asian-style noodle with peanut sauce recipe can be made with flat noodles, peanut butter, soy sauce and a few other items. Baby spinach leaves are a healthy addition.
Things You'll Need
- 5 ounces Chinese flat noodles
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- Green onions
- Baby spinach (optional)
Instructions
-
Boil the Chinese flat noodles according to package directions.
-
Boil the water and add the peanut butter. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
-
Add the rice vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, sugar, sesame oil and ground cayenne pepper. Mix well.
-
Place the baby spinach in a strainer and pour the pot of boiling noodles over the spinach to strain. The idea is to slightly soften the baby spinach leaves. Pour the noodles back into pot and add the peanut sauce. Stir until the sauce covers noodles well.
-
Top with the desired amount of finely chopped green onion.
