Will a muslim go to hell if they eat pork?

The consumption of pork is prohibited in Islam according to the Quran and the Hadith. The Quran explicitly states in multiple verses that pork is among the forbidden foods:

- "He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which is slaughtered in the name of other than God." (Quran 2:173)

- "Say, 'I do not find within that which was revealed to me anything forbidden to one who would eat it unless it is dead animals or flowing blood or the flesh of swine—for indeed, it is impure—or an immorality committed without right.' But one who is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience or exceeding the limit, then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 6:145)

According to Islamic teachings, the consumption of pork is considered a major sin, and as such, Muslims who knowingly and willingly consume pork are deemed to have committed a serious transgression. However, it is essential to recognize that the concept of hell in Islam is not simply determined by a single action or consumption of a specific food.

In Islam, the ultimate judgment of a person's actions and their ultimate destination (heaven or hell) lies with God, who is considered the Most Just and Merciful. Muslims believe that God is aware of the circumstances and intentions behind each individual's actions, and will ultimately judge them based on their overall conduct, deeds, and intentions throughout their life.

Therefore, while the consumption of pork is considered a prohibited act in Islam, it does not automatically mean that a Muslim who consumes it will be condemned to hell. The judgment of a person's actions is ultimately up to God, who is deemed to be the most just and merciful judge.
