What kind of food do starfish eat?

Starfish, also known as sea stars, are carnivores. They primarily eat:

* Mollusks: Clams, mussels, oysters, and snails are favorites. Starfish use their strong arms and tube feet to pry open the shells and then evert their stomach into the mollusk to digest it.
